Madaraka Community School

Madaraka Community School was founded in 2007 by the young people who ran the TWAAYF Children's Center. The school provides early childhood education to children in Likoni, regardless of their ability to pay fees. TWAAYF set to work establishing Madaraka Community School for their 12 nursery students and other Likoni children.

Twaayf foundation

Twaayf Foundation is a youth led community development organization comprised of musical artistes working to create new opportunities and long term, self-sustaining solutions to the challenges we face in Likoni, Kenya. Our mission is to empower Likoni’s vulnerable children and youth to achieve their goals so they become able to provide for themselves and help uplift our community. We aim to achieve this mission by increasing access to basic needs, education, mentoring, volunteerism, youth outreach events, talents empowerment, job opportunities and micro-finance loans for young families throughout Likoni.
Our organization is comprised of Twaayf Children’s Development Center, a home for 20 orphaned and abandoned children, Madaraka Community School educating 170 less privileged children, Holykraft Entertainment, a recording and performing group comprised of youth founders and children from Twaayf and Twaayf Volunteer Hosting and Travel program.
Total War Against AIDS Youth Foundation,( TWAAYF) was founded in 2006 and run by ex-street reformed boys, The foundation majors in sports, performing and fine arts,Income generating projects,clothe line production and volunteerism as a tool for fundraising and sustainability.
Twaayf Foundation envisions a well-governed and prosperous society where all vulnerable children and youth have access to the basic social services, education and economic opportunities required for their success and development.Together these programs address a wide range of challenges facing Likoni and offer long- term, self-sustaining impact that will help Likoni take a large step forward.
